Computer Game Is Serious Fun

A group of Computer Science students has spent the semester creating an iPad game, Alien Invaders. But it wasn’t just for fun. The iPad app is already being used for psychological testing of children with neurodevelopmental difficulties.

In 2013 the Department of Health WA Clinical Simulation Support Unit awarded us a grant to help evaluate our unique ways of training postgraduate students in conducting neurodevelopmental research. We would like to thank them for this generous support

In May 2013 Corinne was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Australian Red Cross for her work with children with complex needs at Lady Lawley Cottage. The award ceremony on International Red Cross Day was a very special occasion.

In 2012 the Project KIDS team was awarded a generous grant by the Channel Seven Telethon Trust. This support has enabled us to purchase a wonderful playground, state of the art equipment to help us record brain activity and a range of other materials to support our research. We thank Telethon for their generosity and ongoing support.
